GUANTANAMO BAY

My main reporting focus since the fall of 2015 has been the military commissions system and related legal issues at Guantanamo Bay.

I have authored dozens of articles on these topics, including more than 50 on the ongoing prosecution against the five men accused of orchestrating the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

GLOBAL JUSTICE

My Guantanamo coverage actually flowed out of my reporting and writing on justice mechanisms for mass atrocities and human rights violations, which was the topic of my self-designed MA at New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
